Another freebie mini kit for week 3 of the NDIDDS competition

One of the week 3 round’s palettes had blues and greens in it … my favorites, so that was my palette choice. Recently someone thought something I had done had glitter trim on it, only it did not. For some reason that made me want to play around with a little glitter and glitz, but only a LITTLE, LOL! … hence the name of the kit. I love the soft greens and blues with a little zing of rust and orange to liven it up! I think this will be a very versatile kit!

Week 2 of the NDIDDS competition: freebie kit Daisy

This week’s part of the NDIDDS competition theme is Girlfriends or Gal Pals. The first thing this theme made me think of was that my friends are “happy flowers” in my life and the daisy to me is a happy flower. Hence the kit name and the daisies in the kit.
Then I started thinking about the things I like to do with my gal pals: going to concerts, out to eat, shopping, seeing a movie, talking on the phone, going on a road trip. There was not room for embellishments that represent all these things, so I chose a few.

Backyard Playground links are still working

I have checked the links on my Backyard Playground downloads and they are working for me. 4Shared has been having some “glitches” lately and sometimes it has taken me 3 or 4 tries to download something. I hope you have already tried again or will try again. I am not taking these downloads down for a while.

Also … be watching for the new ADS designers’ new collab kit set to debut on August 1st … in the next 24 hours. To give you a hint, it has to do with animals and this is the color palette …

I can’t believe I got tagged by Beckmore’s Scrapalittle!

So, here are the rules:

Here we go with my 7 facts:

1. I am a retired computer programmer. I specialized in accounting products but also did other custom programs and applications.

2. I am a creative person, always have been. As a child I drew pictures all the time and eventually did some painting as well. I did not like oil painting but love pen and ink and watercolors. When my children were little, I did a lot of sewing, both for myself and for my daughter.

3. I am mother of 3 grown children and grandmother of 8: 6 girls and 2 boys, now ranging in age from 8 to 15.

4. As a child, I wanted to learn to play an instrument, especially piano. I never learned, but instead I married a man who plays piano and keyboards, so I get to enjoy HIS playing.

5. I love music, many different kinds of music, especially piano music. My favorite rock band is Little Feat.

6. I can’t sing on key. This fact is frustrating to me in light of fact #5 and it is annoying to family and friends because I tend to sing along at times.

7. I love to read. All kinds of genres, but especially Science Fiction.
